Jantar Mantar Hunger Strike Enters Day 26 — Students Refuse to Back Down

<p>The indefinite hunger strike launched by CJP at Jantar Mantar on June 28 has entered its 26th day as of July 23, with rotating groups of students continuing the protest. Three students have required hospitalization for dehydration but returned to the site after recovery.</p><p>AIIMS and RML Hospital medical teams maintain a 24-hour field clinic monitoring blood sugar, blood pressure, and hydration levels. The protest site has become a landmark, with thousands of citizens visiting daily to show solidarity.</p><p>"We fast because an entire generation's future was sold to the highest bidder," said Rohan Mehta, 21, a medical aspirant from Lucknow who has been at the site since Day 1. "We stop when the system answers."</p>
